Originally established as a teacher preparatory school in 1911, Chadron State College has evolved into a dynamic comprehensive undergraduate and graduate degree granting college offering university-level courses and degree programs. Enrollment is approximately 2,800 students. Serving the regional educational, research, social, and cultural needs of western Nebraska, Wyoming, northeastern Colorado, Chadron State College is located near two of America’s most treasured resources—Rushmore National Monument and Yellowstone National Park. The 113 hectare campus with more than one million square feet of facility space is strategically located near numerous outdoor recreational activities. Students at the College can also participate in many of the 70 student clubs and organizations, including an active International Student Club.
