Bergen Community College, the largest community college in New Jersey, is located on a 165-acre suburban campus in Paramus, New Jersey, 30 minutes and less than 25 miles from New York City.  Established in 1965, the two-year college has an enrollment of nearly 17,000 and offers 90 programs of study leading to associates degrees.  For students who intend to transfer and earn more advanced degrees, the first two years at Bergen replicate the freshman and sophomore years at many four-year colleges.  With more than 350 full-time faculty who hold master’s degrees and some who have doctorates, the college maintains a deep roster of exceptionally qualified teachers.

Bergen Community College is proud to have more than 700 international students, representing 63 countries from around the world. The College’s International Student Center assists international students with admission, immigration and academic counseling, status maintenance and compliance. The center also promotes intercultural learning through workshops and quality programming, serving as a “home away from home” for international students.
