St. Andrews

St. Andrews is a four year liberal arts and sciences college in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Nationally recognized for innovation and academic excellence in an unparalleled interdisciplinary curriculum, classes challenge students to think critically and express ideas clearly and effectively, with emphasis on interdisciplinary study and the acquisition and mastery of communication skills, analytical techniques, problem-solving strategies, leadership skills and creative expression. St. Andrews delivers undergraduate degrees, meeting the needs of high school graduates and college transfers in a residential setting, and adult learners through satellite campus and/or online. The St. Andrews traditional residential campus offers over 30 majors and includes a study abroad program on three continents, an award-winning pipe band, a six-time national champion equestrian team, 16 NCAA Division II athletic teams, a state of the art Electronic Fine Arts Center, multi-media art facilities, and a multi-disciplinary science lab the size of a soccer arena! Residency is required, with about 600 students hailing from 40 of the 50 states and 10 foreign countries, creating a wonderfully diverse and exciting student body. The Center for Adult and Professional Studies (CAPS) extends its educational opportunities to adults and non-traditional students through satellite campus and online programs providing degrees in Business, Liberal Studies and Education. Finishing a degree or adding a second degree can be critically important for long-term career advancement – whether the goal is to gain up-to-date knowledge in a particular field, or to sharpen the reasoning and communication skills that are important in every aspect of professional life.
